Q1 Read the passage carefully and answer the questions which follow:

The Deadly Sins
The devils were holding a meeting. The one-point agenda of the discussion was how to destroy the world fast but easily. One of the devils named ‘Anger’ stood up. He said, “Let me go and destroy the world. I will make them get angry with one another. They will quarrel, fight and destroy themselves.” But the leader of the devils felt it was not enough to destroy the world.
Another devil named ‘Greed’ spoke up, “Sir, please allow me to go. I will make man greedy. His uncontrollable desire will destroy him!” But the leader of the devils was not convinced.
There were other devils called ‘Envy’, ‘Jealousy’, ‘Hatred’ and ‘Idleness’. All of them claimed that they could do this job very well. But the leader was still not fully satisfied.
The last devil left was ‘Delay’ who stood up and said, “I shall go and help man to do everything good. I will tell him how fine his plans are; I will praise him for the good purpose of his life.”
The astounded leader asked him, “Why on earth do you want to help men? We are planning to destroy them.”
Delay said, “I shall help man to do good, but I will tell him that there is no hurry. He can take his own time. He can do all of those wonderful things tomorrow. I’ll tell him to wait for the most favourable conditions before he starts his good work.”
A broad smile spread across the leader’s face. He said, “You are the right person to do the job. You shall go to Earth and destroy man.”
